Switzerland is the most romantic country in Europe full of snowy mountains, spectacular landscapes, crystal clear lakes and the multi-cultured cities. Switzerland is a European country lying in its center bordered by Germany in the north, France in the west, Italy in the south and Austria in the east. Its beauty attracts number of tourists all the year round. It is also a major center for international business. Tourism in Switzerland is thus a significant sector with the many distinguished tourist destinations in Switzerland.

  1. The beautiful and striking Swiss Alps cover 60% of the total area of this country. This makes Switzerland the second most alpine country following Austria. Dufourspitze is the highest summit that is seen in Swiss Alps.

  3. The languages spoken here are German, Italian and French. Many diverse cultured people live here.
  4. In this country you will find different kinds of terrain and topography with plateaus and high mountain ranges. The mountainous areas are not so populated but the Middle Land is one of the most populated areas and comprises of hilly areas as well as open pastures.
  5. Switzerland enjoys a very temperate climate. The climate basically varies in this country. The summer season is warm but also humid. In wintertime, the low-lying areas generally experience snowfall and fog. The winters have an alternate weather of snow and sun.
