South Africa is also a very useful gateway to many neighbouring areas: Lesotho, Mozambique, Zimababwe, Zambia and Nambia. Swaziland in particular is an integral part of a South African trip. The differences in atmosphere, vibe and local customs is well worth the stop. For those conscious of making responsible tourism choices www.swazi.travel is a good starting point.
